Battle for the Souls of Men

It did not start today! This primordial battle for the souls of nations and people still rages on in these last days. Whether right versus left or good versus evil, what is true is that insecurity is increasing and threatening to engulf the world. Nowhere else is this global trend playing out more starkly than in the building block of society and nations, the home. As the drums of quarrels beat daily in many homes, between a man and his wife, the crux of the matter is usually, “I am right, and you are wrong.” Everyone is right in their own eyes, and no one wants to give way for the other.1 This is happening because many people know God, but only a few follow Him. Not many believe God enough to submit to His plan for the home, and for the nation.2

“I dislike quarrelling,” the Spirit of God patiently prods in the right direction, without interfering in decisions people make. The right direction of taking God seriously enough to do things His way, rather than ‘do it my way.’ Since it looks and feels right to match wisdom with each other, homes are fast becoming war zones. What began as war of words, sometimes for fun and pranks, are fast becoming war of attrition slowly eating away the cords of peace and harmony. Daily news coming out of homes, in waves, are troubling. A man collapses and dies suddenly because he arrived home to discover that his wife of many years had abandoned him with their three children. Not only has divorce rate increased,3 but men and women suddenly drop dead leaving many wondering what happened! In another home, DNA tests expose the truth that the children the man has been parenting since birth, twenty years ago, with his innocent-looking wife, all belong to another man! If men’s infidelity in patriarchal societies are of historical and biblical proportions, the tide is changing fast. The new trend is the tidal wave of infidelity among women! The result is, increasing outbursts of jealousy, anger, and rage, flashing out of homes like thunder and lightning. The world better take notice, and pray to Father God in heaven for mercy.

The visions are grim. It is of the surface of the earth burnt to grey ashes, like the aftermath of a thick forest fire!4 What will constantly feuding husbands and wives do, when nations start flinging nuclear bombs at each other? What will happen, to prancing feminists fighting for annoying abortions and surgical enhancing rights like Jezebel:5 Or to whole societies trapped by ruinous LGBTQ+, like Sodom and Gomorrah:6 Or to leaders hiding festering corruption with troubling policies like unfettered illegal immigration in the USA, rising Islamization in Christian Europe, sponsored terror groups in the Middle east and Africa, and lawlessness in other parts of the world?7 What will happen to societies currently vibrating with a mix of other end-time activities: In recreation, commerce, marriages, social media, technologies, persecutions, disasters, rebellion against God, and yes, the many false prophets, false Christs, and outright Antichrists? Leaving the righteous gawking with shock, as secret cults and alliances seeking painful domination battle on these many fronts for the souls of households and nations!

The wheel of night-day and seasonal cycles spin unperturbed, as the clock ticks on. Many people are asking, “what shall we do now? Is there still hope?” It is time to listen carefully to the Spirit of God, as the gentle breeze of His restraining Presence is still blowing throughout the world. His judgement is, “Many know Me and others have Me, but no one obeys My voice.”8 There, my friends, is the heart of the problem in homes and nations in a world that are still not willing to listen to God and to His Anointed Savior. But will you?
