God’s New Year Greetings to Everyone - Opportunities for the New Year

Welcome to 2025AD. Father God sends New Year’s greetings to everyone, “Tell them I send greetings in My Son’s Name. Need to take God seriously, and learn His holy ways,” Amid the celebrations and pursuits, God is still speaking.1 Why, and what opportunities does the greeting bring for the New Year? Why does Father God, Possessor of the heavens and earth, even bother talking to human beings: Until stooping down to send them greetings this new year?2 Amazing! Let’s face it: Many of us are self-centered and bad. Nobody cares or have time for other people, beyond family and regular habits and decisions. Stories of man’s inhumanity to man, that come in degrees, are in the news every day. Has entering a new year, changed all that? No! Instead, leaders around the world are increasingly glancing at the big nuclear red buttons on their desks. As our nation and world heads in the direction of Sodom and Gomorrah that, despite Abraham’s intercession, was destroyed because there were not up to five righteous people in the land! Just like it happened one beautiful Sunday morning, as I walked along a busy street in Ibadan Nigeria.

Honks and horns of vehicles filled the air, as the sea of people hurried to Church like a tsunami anxious to reach its destination. Wondering about this incredible sight and sound, I suddenly became aware of Christ the Lord walking by my side along the street. Jesus is alive! He obviously kept me walking on my two feet, because I could have fallen on my knees in obeisance to the King of kings not minding if anyone called me an aro, meaning a mad person. Since, I perceived no one else could see the King that Sunday morning, except me. However, what still surprises me until today was what Christ said, “If I return today, only 4 out of these 4 million people going to Church, are ready.” Shock! Only 4 or 0.0001% of this multitude going to Church, are ready to meet God. This is the reality in Cities after City across the world, as we enter another new year.3

What if I told you that Father God sends greetings in His Son’s Name because He has not forgotten His purpose for creating Mankind. Therefore, seeks to remind them saying, ‘Need to take God seriously and learn His holy ways.’ An appeal for everyone to assess and evaluate themselves, to see if you are in line with the purpose for which God created you. Let me be very clear, the majority of people lack enthusiasm for God and are certainly not learning His holy ways. They are in Church, mainly out of fear of loneliness or from threats of devils. The vigorous singing and dancing to good Church music, worshipping what many do not understand or pay attention to, are arguably mere religious exercises, fashion parades, and attendant hypocrisy: Overseen by leaders distracted from the more important God’s priority, by pursuit of gains and even lust.4 Only the few people who understand, are willing to take God seriously and learn His holy ways. May the number of people ready for that most important day when Christ returns with reward for everyone, increase from the low 0.0001%. May you and your family be among the blessed, who will see opportunities in God’s warm greetings.

The Opportunities for the New Year

Why God created mankind is on His Heart like an indelible ink. As God says, “I created you to have pleasure seeing Myself in you.” Same as, “Let Us make man in our image and likeness.”5 By sending greeting in His Son’s Name, Father God is only gently reminding everyone that Christ is the Example of His holy ways He wants the world to learn. Therefore:

1.      Strengthening your existing knowledge of who Christ the Son is, should be the first resolution to make, and first opportunity to take in this New Year.

2.      Who said running the race to be holy like the Son of God, is difficult? It is that lying devil, and his agents. God is the Simplest Person in the Universe, so His holy ways are simple. The effort put in to resemble God, is easier and more rewarding than the effort many people put in to resemble the rich and famous they admire. To summarize how simple and easy it is to be holy like Christ:

i.      Believe what Christ did to save sinners on the Cross of Calvary. Do not continue in the sin you asked God to forgive you of, and He faithfully did. Only believe!

ii.     Ask Father God to give you the Holy Spirit, for Christ the Son’s sake. Receive the Spirit of God, by faith. Only ask!

iii.   Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to practice why Christ is holy by His righteous character. Like Christ, practice bringing understanding to others about God (Use technologies): Showing kindness in this generation: And  praying in intercession for the world. That’s it!6

Notice, it is all about human character reforms. Simply by believing, asking, and practicing. Make this opportunity to easily learn to resemble Christ our Example, your New Year’s resolution.

3.      Read great books that will help you grow until holy like Christ, as Father God created you to be. Like the books displayed on this magazine cover. All free! God makes sure the best things are free! So, go for them.

Taking God seriously and learning His holy ways does not interfere with your regular New Year’s resolutions like financial stability, personal growth and development in health, welfare, relationships, career, travels, and habits like quitting addictions. It only demonstrates through you that a wise son makes a glad father. You know that all these other things also from God are temporal, but to be like God is eternal. Begin now to take God seriously and learn His holy ways. Your reward is great, and eternal. God bless you.
